In 2005, it was announced that the magazine would stop publishing its regular edition and move online-only. Regular contributors include: Tim Curran, Jon Kaplan, Al Kaplan, Doug Adams and Jeff Bond.
In 2005, Film Score Monthly began producing a Podcast, available through the online magazine, on iTunes (as well as other Podcast catchers) and on websites hosting direct downloads. Many of the magazine contributors participate in these Podcast discussions.
Film Score Monthly began releasing film and television scores on CD in the late 1990's. As of mid-2006, the number of releases had passed the 100 mark, many being scores of historical value, and some dating back half a century. The composers represented include Franz Waxman, Bernard Herrmann, John Williams and Jerry Goldsmith.
